"Political Pork"
Mondays at 7p
Yeah, we’ve got a weird name. But it’s also cool,
and you know in your heart of hearts it is, so calm yourself.
We decided that while there’s lots of news shows out
there, there aren’t really any news shows with a political
outlook on them. That’s what we do. Analyze the news,
put our unique spin on it, and then toss it back to you. Nick
is decidedly conservative, and he puts his Republican game
face on when he gets into the studio. Andrew, while a registered
Republican, tends to be more cynical about a lot of the issues.
The result? A talk show that’s just short of a debate
show. We would call it more of a “discussion”
show. And you’re welcome to join in whenever you want,
whatever your views are.

"Going Deep with Matt Pauley"
Thursday Night at 7:00
Hosts Matt Pauley, Steve Disbrow, and Chris Casey get together
every Thursday night to discuss the stuff guys like to talk
about. Usual topics include sports and entertainment, and
normally something random and funny will make its way into
the shows agenda. Matt is an award wining broadcaster who
owns several KAB awards and brings the St. Louis flavor to
the show. Steve was a standout baseball player at Manhattan
High School and went on to play college baseball before coming
back to Manhattan to work on the KSU baseball staff. Chris
has lived all over the U.S.A. and has a strange interest in
Jose Canseco while claiming to be Gary Busey’s biggest
fan. When the three come together it is pure radio magic.

"The Saturday Night Rave,"
Ethan Bliss, host & resident DJ
Saturday nights 8p-12a
Ethan (seen in the upper left picuture on this
page) is known as the "techno guy" around the station.
Known for working hard to bring techno or RPM to Manhattan,
Ethan is proud to say he is Techno Guy.
The Saturday Night Rave features a continuous beat-for-beat
mix of some of the best electronic dance music from around
the world like you might hear from the DJ at a rave or a big-city
dance club. Ethan's sets lean toward funky house (e.g. Basement
Jaxx and Daft Punk), progressive house (e.g. Sasha, John Digweed,
Dirty Vegas, Timo Maas), and breaks (e.g. Hybrid, DJ Icey,
Koma & Bones), but each week the show features a guest DJ
mix, and these run the gamut from drum'n'bass to trance to
techno.
About 91.9's Shows
91.9 offers a diverse mix of talk and specialty
shows as well as the best modern rock and hip-hop.
Our talk shows are scheduled from 7-8p every day of the week.
The shows change every semester, but the mission is the same-
provide entertaining programming that serves the K-State student
community and Manhattan community at large.
Submit talk show proposals to our Talk Show Director at radio@k-state.edu
or to Kedzie 105.
Our specialty shows provide an outlet for typically underrepresented
music genres. These shows are scheduled at midnight every
night of the week. This area is also known as the testing
ground for potential mainstream shows. Once upon a time, the
hip-hop programming (now mainstream) was considered a specialty
show. Now, watch out!
Submit your specialty show proposals to the Music Directors
at radio@k-state.edu
or to Kedzie 105.
